Description

The Roques de García trail crosses a landscape that looks like another planet: lava formations, the Llano de Ucanca and Mount Teide always in the background. It is a circular route of about 3.5 kilometres, suitable for almost everyone.

Our guide, a naturalist from the island, tells how the volcano was formed, which plants survive above 2,000 metres and how the Guanche shepherds lived. We stop for photos and to breathe the mountain air.

We go in groups of 12 people at most and start early to avoid the heat and the crowds.
